This is the only resource you need to start a blog as a busy mum.

Have you ever thought about starting a blog? Or maybe you’ve taken some steps to start a blog but aren’t exactly sure what you need to do next? Or maybe you’re just completely overwhelmed by it all?

I’ve been there!!

This is the post for you!

I was sitting where you are only a few months ago. I knew I wanted to start a blog. I’d bought my domain and hosting and installed WordPress. I had a ton of great blog post ideas. But then I got stuck. There was SO much info out there about all the things you ‘NEED’ to do to start a blog. Some of it was contradictory and some of it just went straight over my head with its in depth technical terms.

Then I discovered Suzi’s Blog By Number and everything suddenly fell into place.¬†

I found a few posts from Suzi on Pinterest and I really liked her writing style and how down to earth she was. I felt like she was talking to me and knew the exact struggles I was having. Her emails were also totally authentic and she was genuinely helpful and interested in me. It was like emailing a friend!

No hard sell

What I also loved about Suzi was that she didn’t push her eBook in my face shouting ‘BUY BUY BUY’ like some other bloggers out there. That is a total turn off to me. I’m not going to purchase something from a total stranger before first taking some time to read some of their posts, sign up for their emails and see how much they really know about the topic they’re writing about.

You just have to ask and you’ll get your answers!

Her emails are packed full of useful info for her readers. If you’re not ready to start a blog yet but it’s something you’ve thought about, I’d highly recommend you join her email list. And if the info you’re looking for isn’t in her emails, go ahead and ask her what you want to know. She’s so so lovely and will reply to your email with the answers you need.

The main purpose

I could go on and on about how much I loved what Suzi was offering but I won’t! That’s not the purpose of this post. The purpose of this post is to tell you more about her eBook and how it helped me get my blog up and running quickly and without all the overwhelm and burnout. I want you to know if this is the right eBook for you to help you with what you’re struggling with right now.

So let’s dive in…

What’s so great about Blog By Number?

Suzi from is amazing! Sorry, last time I say it I promise! ūüėČ

If you’re a busy mum and have done even a tiny bit of research into blogging then you’ll know there’s a lot more to it than just writing a few posts and hitting ‘publish’.

It can very quickly get overwhelming with all the different posts out there about all the different ways to do things. How do you know which posts to follow and which aren’t totally necessary right now? How do you know what order to do things in? Do you have 1-2 hours per day?

If you’re serious about getting your blog up and running then I’m sure you can find 1-2 hours during nap time or after the kids are in bed. That’s where this eBook excels. It’s specifically designed for busy mums who are short on time.

Suzi will get your blog up and running in 2 weeks by only spending 1-2 hours a day on it! Before I discovered Blog ¬†By Number, I’d been easily spending 3 hours every evening getting more and more frustrated because I just wasn’t getting anywhere with it. She got me back on track and out of that ‘overwhelm’ phase. And, most importantly, she kick started my blog into the blogosphere!

Do you want a step by step guide telling you exactly what to do?

Yes, I’m sure you do! Suzi describes Blog By Number as a ‘paint by number for blogging’. It literally is a step by step guide where she holds your hand through every step, explaining exactly what to do and how to do it.

There are checklists to tick off, action points to complete and even a workbook for you to keep track of absolutely everything you could possibly need throughout the whole process.

Everything is broken down into small chunks to do each day so there’s no risk of you getting overwhelmed.

Do you want to learn from an expert?

The best way to learn is from someone who has done all the work already. Someone who has tried and tested everything so can confidently tell you exactly what you need to and can help you avoid making the same mistakes they did. Suzi will keep you on the right track. She points out common mistakes so you don’t make them. She shows you examples of blog themes, colour pallettes and headlines that will attract readers so you don’t have to waste your time researching all that yourself.

Let’s get specific

Ok, so I’ve covered a few general points about why¬†Blog By Number¬†might be the right eBook for you. Now here are some more specific examples of what I really loved about it.

Attention to detail

I mentioned that everything is broken down day by day so that you can easily focus on what to do next.¬†Here’s an example of how specific Suzi gets and how she not only gets your blog up and running, but also looking professional.

Colour palette

Who knew this was even a thing? Well, I’m sure some of you did but I certainly hadn’t given much thought to the colours I’d be using. After reading through that section of the book, I knew exactly what colour¬†palette I wanted and why. And I knew exactly how to make sure that everything matched. Without Suzi walking me through this, my blog definitely wouldn’t have looked so professional and there would have been a lack of consistency.

Pin templates

I’m sure I don’t need to explain what Pinterest is to you. But did you know that there’s more to it than just choosing a pretty image and hoping lots of people will magically find it? Suzi includes some gorgeous example¬†template ‘pins’ for you to use. So you don’t have to waste time trying to create your own. I used her templates to create my first pinnable images for my blog which saved me sooooo much time, it was amazing!

Knowing your niche

I did not have a clue what on earth a niche was! But Suzi spells it out for you and explains why it’s important. She even provides you with a ton of examples to help guide you towards what your niche should be. In simple terms, it’s the specific topic you’ll be writing about on your blog.

Web hosting

Oh this was such a headache for me! There are SO many hosting companies out there, which one should you choose? I always try to go with a recommendation from someone I know when making any purchases. Or at least read plenty of reviews if no-one I know already has what I’m looking for.

Suzi recommends a company called Siteground. I’ll be honest and say I didn’t choose them because I found Bluehost to be cheaper and I’d heard good things about them. If you do even a quick google search, you’ll find both positive and negative comments about almost all the host providers but Bluehost and Siteground do seem to be two of the most popular for new bloggers.

I’ve not had any problems with Bluehost so I’m happy to recommend them. My site was running slow at one stage so I got in touch with tech support and they sorted it out for me. Their tech support is pretty slow (that’s one thing Siteground are renound for, amazingly fast tech support). I was waiting around 30 -40 minutes on live chat before I got a reply, whereas Siteground is usually pretty instantaneous.

Bluehost vs Siteground. What's the difference? #webhost #startablog Click To Tweet

So if you’re after a cheap provider and don’t mind the slow tech support then Bluehost are right for you. If, however, the speed of tech support is important to you and you don’t mind the higher price tag then Siteground are the better option.

I hope that’s given you a good idea of what Suzi has to offer in her Blog By Number eBook. If you’re a busy mum who only has 1-2 hours a day to work on your blog and want your hand held through the whole process then I highly recommend it! If you’re not sure or still have questions, then either email me or get in touch with Suzi. She’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to seeing what you create, please leave a link to your new blog in the comments so I can check it out!
